Hans Keenan Boggs, MD

Dr. Hans Keenan Boggs was born and raised in California’s rural Central Valley. Growing up in a close-knit but diverse agricultural community, he was inspired early on to dedicate his life to serving others.

Dr. Boggs attended UCLA, where he earned undergraduate degrees in both Neuroscience and English Literature and discovered a passion for science, medicine, and teaching. Before medical school, he spent time as an elementary and high school teacher, an experience that shaped the way he connects with and educates his patients today. He went on to earn his medical degree from Albany Medical College, one of the nation’s oldest medical schools.

He completed his general surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans’ Hospital, where he gained extensive experience in vascular trauma and complex vascular disease. He then pursued fellowship training in vascular surgery at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and Columbia in New York City, mastering both open surgical and endovascular approaches across the full spectrum of vascular care.

Dr. Boggs believes strongly in partnering with patients through education and shared decision-making. He tailors each treatment plan to the individual, with the goal of achieving the best outcomes while minimizing risk.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Boggs is a devoted father of two. He enjoys spending time outdoors, running, reading, and playing guitar.
