Paul Cho

Paul Cho is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with a background in critical care. He initially graduated in 2018 from NYU where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Nursing. During his time in New York, he was part of community health externship where he assisted isolated elderly residents with activities of daily living as well as assisting them with organizing their medical information including medication reconciliation. Soon after graduating from NYU, he moved back to California to start his nursing career at a community level hospital with a primary population focus of the underserved. Soon after he started working, Paul realized his passion encompassed more than bedside nursing. He decided to further his education and training by attending UCLA's school of nursing where he obtained and completed his training as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

During his nursing journey, he continued to hone his knowledge and experience in critical care by working at various acute care hospitals as a travel nurse including but not limited to USC Keck, Scripps Health, and Cedars Sinai affiliated hospitals primarily working in the Intensive Care Units. He additionally obtained his specialty certification in critical care nursing prior to completion of his Acute Care Nurse Practitioner training. As for his involvement in professional organizations, Paul is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Society for Vascular Nursing.

Currently, Paul’s area of expertise continues to develop in Vascular Surgery and General Surgery where he provides specialized care tailored to each individual patient in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Paul, just like his fellow nurse practitioner colleagues at SCMSC, brings his nursing background to provide his patients with holistic nursing care in conjunction with science of medicine. He is committed to addressing each patient’s individual needs as well as to maximally optimize their health and wellbeing. Through his dedication for patients to receive the best care possible, Paul hopes to bring more awareness to the public regarding professional growth and development of nurse practitioners.
