A native of Northern California, Dr. Young attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate degree and received her Master’s in Public Health at Columbia University. Committed to providing the utmost quality care to the greater Los Angeles community, she completed her general surgery residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and two years of specialized surgical oncology training at Saint John’s (formerly John Wayne) Cancer Institute in Santa Monica. To continue her education, Dr. Young is an active member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
